OOC: Continued topic from the old board. For anyone new, this is a topic that anyone is welcome to join and jump in to at anytime. To read older posts for reference, go here: www.plusanima101.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=stella&action=display&thread=412&page=1IC: Her breath coming heavily, Josephine plopped slowly into the area behind Warehouse 9, still clutching the throbbing wound in her side. Finally, she'd made it here. The marketplace where the fight had broken out was a ways away now. She hated not being there, but she needed to rest. With the wound, she had no other option. No other option... Her already downtrodden gaze fell further. She looked around. Surprised to realize that almost no one else was there. The only other person she saw was the mouse +anima woman from earlier. Apparently she had come. She managed a wave, but couldn't get any words to come out as she slumped exhaustedly against the back of the warehouse. This was a bit embarrassing. She didn't like looking so weak. She was somewhat surprised that no one else was there. Where any other +anima going to come? And where was the human girl? Cin, was it? The human who'd told them to met her there? Not that she cared about whether a human showed up or not... She sighed. Frustrated and bored even through her pain, she absently started humming under her breath, twitching one of her feet to the melody as she waited with her eyes closed.

A fight had broken out. Ruko knew that. Just the sounds of it were easily heard by most. Now shifting to her +Anima, the grey-haired girl caught the sounds of battle on the wind, heard by her keen ears. Sniffing the air, scents of those who were not humans came to her. +Anima were in this fight. "Thofte. Now." Ruko instructed her ten-year-old brother, who blinked, surprised. As she crouched down on all fours, he scrambled onto her back. Then, she took off, running on both hands and feet.
The Tiger +Anima stayed away from the sounds of battle, and, with her nose, located the scents of two +Anima, together, away from the battle. Good. They could explain what the heck was going on. Normally, Ruko would've plunged into the battle by now, whatever it was about, but she had Thofte. And a ten-year-old autistic child couldn't go into battle. As if sensing her thoughts, the blonde-haired boy on her back looked down at her, concerned. "Ruko?" he questioned, using one of the few words he could actually say.
Ruko smiled, but didn't look up at him, concentrating on taking paths that would be deserted, and yet away from the battle. "Don't worry, Thofte. You'll be alright." He nodded, as if she was confirming something he had thought.
Behind the warehouse. That's where the two +Anima were, away from the fight. And there was the scent of blood in the air, as well. Thofte slid off her back, and, with her tail tip twitching confusedly, and still on all fours, Ruko and Thofte walked around it, both of them stepping lightly around the corner. She quickly spotted the +Anima, one of which, a girl leaning against the wall, had the scent of blood coming from her.

Cin had made her way to Warehouse 9 before anyone else had. She was the one that orignally knew where it was without looking around. She had actually entered the warehouse to make sure no guards were hiding out or anything. After confirming so, she noticed already two...no three -with a boy on the third's back, whom Cin had not seen at the fight- already here. More should come. This probably wasn't enough for anything else. She had gotten lucky at the slave market, really.
Then she noticed...uh...Joshpene? Jesse? It started with a J, she knew that much. Oh well, she needed a nickname for that girl anyways. SHe'll call her JayJay. She didn't know why. She didn't know why she gave nicknames, but oh well. It was fun.
"JayJay!" she called, coming out of the warehouse and shutting the door behind them. JayJay was bleeding. The girl that saved Cin twice was bleeding. Stupid. Cin walked over to JayJay, standing tall. Then she did something she didn't usually do. She was concerned. Or at least as concerned as Cin could possibly be.
"Hey, it doesn't look that bad," she said. Then...she smiled. Deviously, though. "You can get over it," she said, as if trying to keep up the girl's spirts.
[[Hahaha XD I love Cin!]]

Josephine abruptly stopped humming and looked up as her fox-like ears made out the sound of footsteps. She momentarily tensed, before realizing that it was more +anima. Well...at least one. She gazed at the two new arrivals through the white theater mask she was still wearing. A girl with tiger features. But the boy who she was carrying on her back appeared human. She snorted, irritated even with the throbbing in her side. The last thing she needed to see was another human. Still, at least one more +anima had finally arrived. She didn't look familiar, though - she didn't think she'd seen her at the battle site. Whatever. She wasn't thrilled about the human, but one more +anima couldn't hurt.
"JayJay!"
Her ears twitched again, the young woman suddenly recognizing the voice of the human girl who'd called them to the warehouse, Cin. About time. She didn't realize that she was referring to her, though, until the girl ran up to where she sat slumped against the wall.
...JayJay...? She shot the human a bit of a glare.
She was a bit surprised, though, when she noticed a hint of worry briefly appear on the girl's face as she caught sight of her wound. Still, the human smiled again a moment later.
"Indeed." Josephine answered simply to Cin's words, trying to sound confident even though she still felt rather embarrassed.
She felt another sting of pain run up her side. She hoped that it would heal quickly. When would she be able to fight again? She had to fight! Now that the war - the war she'd always longed for - had started, she couldn't just sit it out! It...had to get better soon. Her face fell a bit.

Thofte, not having the extra senses his +Anima sister had, now noticed that the young woman was injured. Having realized she was a +Anima, from her fox ear, though the mask was rather off-putting, he frowned, worried. "Ruko Ruko!" The ten-year-old ran over to the sitting girl, kneeling as he loooked at her wound. Uh oh. At least they had bandages, right? She could put those on, and it'd help. Did they have anything else? Thofte didn't think so. He pulled off his knapsack, opening it, and, after digging around slightly, pulled out the roll of bandages, which he then offered to the injured woman. "Ruko! Law eh!"
Ruko wasn't paying attention to the injured older girl, not really. Instead, her eyes were focused on the human who came running in. The Tiger +Anima stood up, her ears flattening back slightly. Apparently, the fox +Anima, at least, that's why Ruko thought she was, knew her. The girl didn't like humans overly much, which was ironic, considering her traveling companion. Then again, Thofte didn't count so much, as he was her younger brother. Most +Anima would do the same in her situation, right?
She stepped over, beside her brother, and squatted down. "Oh, it's not that bad." Ruko told the older girl. Indeed, she had seen much worse. On herself, that is. "Won't take that long to heal at all." The Tiger would definitely know on that one, and, after all, she wasn't a wimp. If the girl was a wimp, then it was a bad one. If not, as Ruko suspected, it would be okay. It looked like it hurt, but the young woman'd be fine.

Suzannah waved back at Josephine, but her eyes remained on her wound. She glanced at Cin, the tiger +Anima, and the little boy. Suzzannah prodded her dress before turning to Cin. "What does this Warehouse store?"

Josephine looked up, grimacing a bit at first as the human boy left his companion and ran towards her, muttering some word or name she wasn't familiar with. She tensed and frowned as he knelled down and stared at her word, surprised when he suddenly pulled out and offered bandages. Her face softened a bit. She took the bandages - they would definitely be helpful. She was probably a fool not to carry some around herself in her line of work. "Thank you..." She didn't like thanking humans, but she figured that this time it was in order.
She looked up at the tiger +anima as she suddenly approached as well, trying to smile a bit at her words. They were similar to Cin's, but she took it a bit better from another +anima. At least it seemed like, though, that people were trying to cheer her up. And they were right. It wouldn't take that long to recover from. She had actually had worse in the past. It was just that it was terribly inconvenient, frustrating timing. She nodded up at the +anima girl.
Suddenly hearing the voice of the mouse +anima, she cast her gaze curiously in her direction. She asked a good question - she was curious, too. Was this warehouse where they were going to stay? Or was this just a meeting place where the human girl would lead them elsewhere? Twitching her one ear, she waited for Cin's response.

"Oh!" Cin said. "Nothing," she added nonchalantly (sp?) as she put her hands in her pants pockets. She smiled, though. "Just a place to gather," she explained, half hoping they'd understand and half hoping they wouldn't. She loved making people feel weird and out of place. It was her thing, no? She leaned against the wall of the warehouse and relieved one of her pockets of her right hand and pointed it at another warehouse. It was a bigger one and had humans coming in and out of it, loading and unloading large boxes from large ships.
"That's the one we need. But I can't really shout the name of the real warehouse we need to go to, you know. Guards could have heard me," she shrugged, thinking on a few thoughts. "You know, they could be gathering a bunch of guards right now waiting to barge into this warehouse, for all we know, you know?" she said as if it ment nothing. Well, it ment nothing to her, but she found that needed it.
"I think we should wait here a bit longer for the other +anima," Cin said, staring at the sky, as if waiting for the bird +anima. "You can go to that warehouse right now, if you want. Just ask for Yumio and tell them that Cin sent 'ya," she said, realizing how much she was talking and decided to shut up. If the next words that came out her mouth wern't insults, she was sure she was going to explode. But she knew +anima were sensitve people. You couldn't treat them like humans, for some reason. Weirdos.

(ooc: Sorry for the late-ness...again...>_> School has decided to eat me up like a taco...AND WITH NO WARNING EITHER!! Also, if my posts get drab, I'd like to apologize for that too.)
Suzannah's eyes narrowed into thoughtful slits. She would certainly die if the guards came back and captured her, then she would never see her boys again...if they were alive. Oy, that must sound pretty self-centered...Suzannah guessed that the human girl was going to stay here, and what if the girl was right? What if the minute they all left, guards would come rushing in, and kill the poor thing? No way could Suzannah allow that, not without a fight, at least!
"I'm staying here." Suzannah piped up.

The woman, who by her scent Ruko could tell was a mouse +Anima, spoke. Ruko stood up, tail swishing, and riveted her eyes to the young human. Well, younger. Her eyes narrowed slightly, but a touch of concern came to her. A bunch of guards? Coming here? Ruko glanced at Thofte, who was mimicing her, standing up as well, after he handed the other +Anima the bandages. She couldn't get her brother involved in anything like that. No, he could fight, but she'd never let him do anything that could possibly get him hurt. Well, not that she could prevent.
However, the mouse +Anima spoke up, and that made Ruko's mind twist a little bit. Should she? The girl sniffed the air tentatively. She didn't smell any guards, that was for sure. "Ditto," Ruko announced. "I'm staying." She wasn't going anywhere, and it didn't seem as if the fight would be coming to them. If it did, Ruko would fight with her life to protect her younger brother.
Thofte, hearing Ruko's words, pulled out a dagger from his backpack, which was still resting on the ground. Tugging at her sleeve, he spoke, brandishing it. "Ruko?" He demonstrated the knife, a question in his eyes.
Ruko glanced down at him, shaking her head. "Put it back," she scolded him, murmuring. "You're not going to fight." He merely replied with an indignant "Ruko! Law eh eh Law Ruko!" No one would understand that, except for her. So, she didn't shush him.

"Heheheh..." Josephine gave a dry laugh, looking up blankly at the sky. "Well, if everyone else is staying here, I suppose I am too. I'm not going to a human warehouse by myself...not like this. Hehehe..."
She giggled again, more or less mocking herself. This was miserable. Even though the other's words were right - her wound would likely get better before long, she wanted it to be better now. If she hadn't taken that careless hit, she would've thought nothing of walking into a human warehouse by herself. She could've killed them all if the case ended up requiring it. Why had she lost her focus so much by at the market place at gotten hit? She needed to remember not to let excitement get the better of her again - coldness was how you won conflicts - but for now it was too late. She was completely at the mercy of these humans and +anima, or, if she was unlucky, it could end up being the guards. How shameful. How shameful to put herself in a situation where she could end up dying at the hands of humans, and in the very battle she'd always longed for.
"Heheheh...." She laughed again, closing her eyes as she leaned her head back against the warehouse, her silver hair falling over her blood-stained face. She supposed all she could do was wait, now. One thing was for sure - if the guards did come, she would put up all the hatred and fight she had left before she went down, even if it would never be enough. Still, it seemed quiet for the moment. She wondered how much longer the others would wait for more +anima... The more +anima, the better, of course, but she doubted that the guards would stay away forever. She'd called out the name of the warehouse loudly, after all. She gave another ironic smile.

[[OOC: I think we kinda need to find out if Taron, Contrast, or Shadowswolf are going to continue in this topic now...otherwise the characters should just leave since we can't wait forever. Maybe someone should PM them...otherwise maybe we should just wait another week or so before assuming they're not posting here again...]]

Without waiting for an answer, Inalba took wing. A few rocks missed him narrowly, so he rose faster. When he was out of reach he surveyed the landscape. There appeared to be some people near a warehouse of some sort.
His curiosity was piqued and he spread his winds, catching the warm current and gliding to hover over the warehouse. He pondered for a moment then suddenly pulled in his wings and began to plummet. Only opening at the last minute to landed with a nice plop.
"Hello~" he smiled and held up a hand.

((OH GEE SORRY GUYS!!!! completely been neglecting this rp, GAH! thanks for waiting anyway, i'll be better, i promise!! seriously feel free to nag me like crazy if i continue to forget))
Gariel thrust both wings down hard, launching to follow the boy, although as soon as he reached the same height, his friend suddenly chose to dive. Biting his lip in minor anoyance and indecision, Gariel watched as the shape of Inalba grew smaller, then eventually he followed the example and descended, albeit at a much slower pace. He spiralled, rather than taking the verticle route.
On the roof of the warehouse did the parrot boy land. Inalba seemed to have entered without a trace of hesitancy. This was the supposed meeting place? He could hear talking, though too muffled to understand. Sigh...he made his way down further until finally ending up beside Inalba. Others....+anima no doubt, were stood before them, female save for a young boy amongst them. Gariel put his hands on his hips, tucking both wings neatly behind.
'What exactly is this all about?'

"Okay," Cin said with an annoyed sigh. None of them wanted to go to the warehouse. Ugh. She really picked a time to be "nice" and "giving", didn't she? Damn it. She could have gotten much more fun somewhere else instead of this. Seriously, she didn't need to do this. She was being "nice". And what did it get her? Okay, she told herself. This is the last time I'm going to be nice, she decided.
Then, the two bird +anima came. Finally, she thought as she greeted the two with a smile. Or what resembled a smile. It was slightly crocked from being annoyed and lack of this kind of muscle. She rarely smiled. And when she did, it was around Yumio. And even then, it was a weird smile, but he accepted it nonthe less, knowing it was still a smile.
Cin put her hands in her pockets and looked around at everyone. "Okay, we're all here...I think," she said, not really knowing if everyone was here, but she didn't care. She just wanted to go. She didn't want to sit here anymore. "Follow me. I'll explain when we get inside," she said with a wave of her hand as she began to walk off towards the warehouse were the black market hid out. Lovely little place. That was, if you didn't mind the dark, damp area filled with boxes and large valuable items. And about the explaining, she really didn't know. She just needed these guys out of plainsight.
She pulled open the door to see Yumio counting money and the other moving around new mechantdice. Cin smiled again- but it seemed less intimidating- Yumio's way and wave, shouting his name. His head popped up and he looked around. His eyes caught the sight of Cin and...a group of people behind her. Had Cin made some friends? No, that was highly unlikely. Cin never really managed to get along with anyone, much less that number of people.
"Cin..." he said with a sigh. "What did you do this time?" He looked over at one of his workers and asked him to bring some refreshments for the guests and stood there waiting for Cin's awnser.
"Uh..." she began, her index finger on her lower lip, trying to look cute and innocent and Yumio would have bought it if he didn't know the girl. "They can explain!" she said, running off to a large area of stacked boxes. They quickly hid her small body as she ran behind them, hiding. It was either that, or someone was going to get hit, insulted or worse.
Yumio looked at the new people and smiled. "Hello, ladies and gentalmen," he said, being his usual poliet self. "Will you be able to tell me what my underaged, short-tempered, incoherent friend wasn't able to?" he asked.
"Hey!" Cin yelled among the boxes. "I heard that!" she yelled, then realizing she basically given herself away and then ran deeper into the stacks of boxes. Yumio smiled. Cin was always a little ball of fun.

Inalba turned and smiled at Gariel and followed his example of putting his wings out of site. Without thinking, the black-haired boy plopped onto the floor and tilted his head at the other boy, "Pardon?" he shook his head, "I didn't do anything..."
